Think of a blockbuster motion picture, for instance. Sure it can make a billion dollars in its globally run. And yes, other imitators stick to inside of a year or two. But you don't see each movie studio casting the identical actors, using the identical director, employing the exact same script to make the same movie and assume audiences to pony up their money.
